Exhibition November 2 – 30, 2019
Hatch Art Gallery, 3456 Evaline, Hamtramck, MI
Gallery Hours Wednesdays (6pm-9pm) and Saturdays (noon-6pm)
Opening Reception Saturday, November 2, 2019, 6-9 pm

Curated by Rocco DePietro and Gloria Pritschet from Gallery Project, we highlight artists who have moved from social commentary to social action. These include artists who are creating materials for social protests, are working to improve communities and neighborhoods, and engaging through art and performance in acts of non-violence against unjust laws and institutions.

The goals of the exhibit are to educate the public on the use of art to foment social change in their communities and across the nation, and to stimulate the imagination of artists who wish to move from social commentary to social action.
