Artist Bio: Gabrielle Egnater

Gabrielle Egnater was born in Los Angeles, California to a family of printmakers and lighting designers. She transplanted to Chicago to pursue a BFA in Foundry at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Drawn to the Midwest zeitgeist, she continues to work in and between Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Zona Maco, Mexico City, MX; Prairie State College, Chicago Heights, IL; Roger Brown Study Collection, Chicago, IL; and Hamtramck Disneyland, Hamtramck MI. Egnater has attended the Midwest Jewish Artist Lab Residency and interned as the Ceramics Technician Assistant for the Kohler Arts/Industry Program. Egnater is currently a Metal Shop Supervisor at the College for Creative Studies and Adjunct Faculty for the CCS: Community Arts Partnership Program.
