Hands On at Hatch Art: Drunk Painting

Join us at Hatch Art for a workshop where we'll make Paintings on Velvet with Alice V Schneider... the drunk part is optional! A velvet painting is a type of painting distinguished by the use of velvet (usually black velvet) as the support, in place of canvas, paper, or similar materials. The velvet provides an especially dark background against which colors stand out brightly.
We will provide 1 individual velvet "canvas", easels and brushes for each person that registers! We only can fit 15 so register early!
The workshop is open to adults only, please no children... 18 and over. The workshop will be easy enough for beginners, but more experienced artists will be able to make more elaborate Velvet Paintings from the basic materials. We strongly suggest you bring some ideas and materials of your own… Please reach out to Alice beforehand if you have any questions!
Due to the extra supplies this 3 hour workshop will be $40.00.
