Your camera is not a magical device. It is a machine that operates in predictable ways. Make it bend to your will by learning how to control it. We will cover the basics of exposure, but we will also look at features often neglected.
Bring your own camera, or just come and watch. Any camera will work, but mostly we will be discussing DSLR operation.
Every two weeks, Hands On at Hatch Art is hosting a series of photography workshops, lectures, critiques, and socials. Open to anyone with an interest, each session will focus on a particular subject ranging from Photoshop to film, DSLRs to camera phones, art to family snaps, broad theory to quality print.
The host is Christopher Schneider, an artist, professor, business owner, and longtime President of Hatch Art. A graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art, he has taught photography for nearly 20 years, with artwork showing as far away as China.
Most sessions will be two hours with social time to follow. Special dates will involve critiques, guest artists, and “walk abouts.”
