Scott Northrup's appropriations of common objects and personal artifacts create moving artwork that is unpredictable and unique. He takes family photos, toys, outdated technology and many other items to draw out an autobiography that can be felt deeply without knowing him personally. He manipulates these objects with sewing, painting, video, and other media to get at the heart of what makes that object worthwhile. 

Northrup is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entertainment Arts at CCS.
