"This installation is based on the principles of color subtraction, absorption, and reflection. By matching a red pigment with the same red frequency of light, it will seem to disappear.
I witnessed this firsthand with a red ink pen when it failed to show up on paper when a particular red light shone on it. In 2022, I used this principle for a painting shown at the Padzieski Gallery in Dearborn. I matched the ink pigments to the lights and created three seemingly different images.
In this project I have turned that concept into an immersive experience by matching the blue and red paints on the walls illuminated by specific light frequencies using a 4-channel light controller. "
